Configure Analytics Environment Variables for the Dashboard

Edit Analytics Environment Variables.

Configure the Analytics Reports that display in the Dashboard for all users in your organization.

Permissions Required

Your user account or group membership must have the following permissions to edit a Environment Variable unless your user account has the Make this user a Super Admin setting selected:

• Environment Variables: Edit Environment Variables

• Environment Variables: View Environment Variables

See the Environment Variable permissions or ask your Administrator for assistance.

Package Required

The Analytics Reporting package must be installed.

AWS QuickSight Account Required

Prior to being able to create an Analytics Report, ensure that an Amazon Web Services (AWS) QuickSight account is configured. Amazon QuickSight powers data-driven organizations with unified business intelligence (BI).

Follow these steps to edit an Environment Variable:

1. View your Environment Variables. The Environment Variables page displays.

2. The Analytics Reporting package creates by default the following Environment Variables:

   • ANALYTICS_REPORTING_GRAPH_1

   • ANALYTICS_REPORTING_GRAPH_2

   • ANALYTICS_REPORTING_GRAPH_1

3. Click the ellipses icon, and then select the Edit Variable option for the Analytics Reporting Environment Variable to edit. The Edit page displays.

   
4. Edit the following information about the Environment Variable as necessary:

   • In the Name setting, edit the unique name of the Environment Variable. The Environment Variable name can only contain letters, numbers, and hyphens (-). This is a required setting.

   • In the Description setting, enter the description of the Environment Variable. This is a required setting.

   • In the Value setting for Analytics Reporting, enter the QuickSight URL to embed your Analytics Report. This is a required setting. Follow these guidelines:

     1. Ensure that ProcessMaker has granted you access to your AWS QuickSight dashboard.

     2. Click the Share icon from your AWS QuickSight dashboard as described in this AWS QuickSight documentation.

     3. Copy the embed code.

     4. Locate the URL within the src property of the embed code, and then enter it into the Value setting. The URL is structured as follows: https://quicksightdomain/sn/embed/share/accounts/accountid/dashboards/dashboardid?directory_alias=account_directory_alias

5. Click Save. The graphics display in the Dashboard for all users in your organization.
