Customize the Appearance of an Element or Connector

Customize the color and/or the icon for an element or a connector.

Overview

Customize the appearance for a selected element or connector, collectively referred to as Process model objects, in the following ways:

• Customize the color of the Process model object, icon, and label, which by default display as black-colored. See Change a Process Model Object's Color.

• Customize the icon that displays in the Process model object. See Change a Process Model Object's Icon.

Permissions Required

Your user account or group membership must have the following permissions to customize the appearance of a Process model object unless your user account has the Make this user a Super Admin setting selected:

• Processes: Edit Processes

• Processes: View Processes

See the Process permissions or ask your Administrator for assistance.

Change a Process Model Object's Color

The default color for an element or connector, collectively referred to as Process model objects, is black-colored by default. The shape and label color for Process model object may only be changed individually.

Permissions are required to do this.

Follow these steps to change the color for a Process model object:

1. View your Processes. The Processes page displays.

2. Click the Open Modeler iconto edit the selected Process model. Process Modeler displays.
3. Select the Process model object to change its color. Available options display above the selected object.

4. Click the Open Color Palette icon. The color palette displays.
5. Do one of the following to change the color:

   • Select a color swatch: Select one of the color swatches from the color palette. The Process model object and label change to that color.

   • Specify a custom color: Click theicon to display the color selector, and then select a color, enter the Hex color code, or enter the red, green, blue, and alpha color values for the custom color. The Process model object and its label change to that color.
   • Reset to the default color: Click theicon to reset the Process model object and its label to its default color.

Change a Process Model Object's Icon

Each element and connector type, collectively referred to as Process model objects, displays a specific icon that represents that object by default. The default icon for a Process model object may only be changed individually.

Permissions are required to do this.

Follow these steps to change the icon for a Process model object:

1. View your Processes. The Processes page displays.

2. Click the Open Modeler iconto edit the selected Process model. Process Modeler displays.
3. Select the Process model object to customize. Available options display above the selected object.
4. Click the Open Color Palette icon. The color palette displays.
5. Click theicon. The Select a custom icon screen displays.
6. From the Search drop-down menu, select the icon to display. The Process model object's icon changes to the selected icon.

7. Click OK.

To reset the Process model object to its default icon, click the Reset to Default button from the Select a custom icon screen.
