Clone Elements and Connectors Without the Clipboard

Immediately duplicate one or more selected elements and connectors without using the Clipboard.

Overview

Cloning one or more Process model BPMN elements and/or connectors, collectively referred to as Process model objects, immediately clones those objects and their respective settings below the original object(s). Unlike copying objects, which places the selected objects into the Clipboard to be then pasted, cloning selected objects immediately duplicates them.

When cloning, any Sequence Flow and/or Message Flow elements incoming to or outgoing from the original are not duplicated.

Clone Elements or Connectors

Your user account or group membership must have the following permissions to clone Process model objects unless your user account has the Make this user a Super Admin setting selected:

  • Processes: Edit Processes

See the Process permissions or ask your Administrator for assistance.

Follow these steps to clone Process model element(s) and/or connector(s), collectively referred to as Process model object(s):

  1. View your Processes. The Processes page displays.

  2. Select the Process model object(s) to clone. Available options display above the selected element(s).

When a Pool element or Lane element is cloned, all Process model objects are also duplicated with their respective settings.
