# Slack Notification Package

Use the Slack Notification package to automatically send [Slack](https://slack.com/) notifications to a selected Slack channel during your Process Requests.

After the Slack Notification package is installed, the Slack Notification connector integrates into Process Modeler. Use the [Slack Notification](/o/-LJ0aNaUl77b5HIzdH7-/s/09GreG9x1Y6qRGRu9MvR/designer-modeler/model-processes-using-connectors/slack-notification-connector) connector in your Process models as you would BPMN elements: drag and place the Slack Notification connector into your Process model, configure its settings, and then add its incoming and outgoing Sequence Flow elements.

Before using the Slack Notification connector in your Process models, your ProcessMaker Platform instance must be granted access to your Slack workspace by building a [Slack App](https://api.slack.com/start/overview). Ask your Slack administrator to help you with the following:

- [Install the Slack app to your Slack workspace](https://api.slack.com/authentication).
- [Verify requests from Slack](https://api.slack.com/authentication/verifying-requests-from-slack).
